Natural Skin Care
I would like to mention an amazing beauty tip that is very fitting for these hard economic times we’re in, times when we are all a bit tighter on money–especially spare money to spend on beauty treatments. And yet, its during these times when we especially need to preserve our natural beauty and stay looking lovely, both because the stress of financial crisis can take its toll on those worry lines that we all know about, and because it will give you that needed edge when and if interviewing for jobs. And most importantly, this treatment is inexpensive and it works wonderfully.
What beauty treatment am I talking about here? A honey facial mask. It’s as simple as this:
Take a warm, wet washcloth and moisten your face, which should be cleaned with water. Take a spoonful of honey and apply with your damp fingers all over your face, avoiding getting it too close to your eyes, of course. Leave on for 5-15 minutes and wash it off with cool water. Not only does it moisturize skin beautifully but it also tightens pores and it smells divine. If you like, add oatmeal and scrub it around on your skin
before washing off.
This treatment is also one of the best acne treatments for those of you seeking a natural solution due to the antibacterial properties in honey, which heal infected pores. Do note that raw, organic honey is best–other types may have been pasteurized, which kills the good enzymes in there.
And by the way, while we’re on the subject of frugal tips, you should know that honey has also been used for centuries as a treatment for sore throats and coughs, and recent research says it may be more effective than most common medicines. So this cold season, mix up some honey with lemon juice and drink it slowly–it will coat the throat, offering pain relief, and the antibacterial properties of honey aid in healing sore throats and laryngitis–for much less money than your OTC cough syrup.
