Three Homemade Skin Products

Skin care products can be expensive and sometimes don’t necessarily remedy the problem. Here are ways you can save some money on skin care products and still have the skin you desire. These work great if you’re on an acre treatment regimen, like Accutane or Retin-A.
Make a mask – This is one of the most commonly used skin care products that will clean pores and tighten skin.
To create a moisturizing and soothing mask:
1.    Mix together an egg, a heaping tablespoon of mayonnaise and a tablespoon of honey.
2.    Mix thoroughly with a fork and apply a little at a time on your skin.
3.    Allow to dry and then wipe off with a warm washcloth.
4.    Follow with your favorite toner.
To create a mask to tighten skin:
1.    Beat a cold egg with a teaspoon of water.
2.    Spread the egg all over your face with your fingers.
3.    Allow egg to dry.
4.    When your skin is tight and the dried egg begins to crack, rinse off with warm water and pat dry.
Another popular skin product is the scrub. Scrubs are used to exfoliate outermost layer of dead skin, to reveal smoother textured skin.
To create your own scrub for all skin types:
1.    Mix one-half cup of oatmeal, one egg, a tablespoon of honey, and two tablespoons of orange juice.
2.    Mix all ingredients together and gently scrub your face with it.
3.    Do not scrub too hard, as scrubbing too hard will damage your skin and can strip away too much natural oils.
4.    Rinse with cold water and pat dry.
Astringent is another product used for skin care. Astringents are meant to dry up oil and tone the skin. A low cost astringent for all skin types is witch hazel. Witch hazel is a natural substance that is very gentle and helps your skin feel refreshed. Apply small amount of Witch hazel on a cotton ball and smooth over the skin and air dry.
