Tips for Getting Better Beauty Sleep
It’s no old wives tale, beauty sleep does get rid of wrinkles and increases blood flow throughout your body due to growth hormone working at night to rebuild and repair your body. Want to wake up feeling relaxed and looking rejuvenated? Don’t pop that Ambien Brand (Stilnox) just yet and read over these 5 tips for that better beauty sleep!
1. Remember that sleep is a priority, not a luxury, and get six to eight hours of sleep per night so your entire body can relax and have enough time to repair itself.
2. Learn ways to improve the value of your sleep, such as do not exercise just before bed (it increases hormones associated with stress and raises your body temperature), do not have a cigarette before bed (the nicotine will keep you awake) and steer clear of those bedtime snacks two hours before you put your head on your pillow (especially carbohydrates and sugars) as they can cause heartburn and acid reflux (and you will have to go running for the Prevacid), keeping your up all night.
3. Enjoy a hot bath in the evening, so by bedtime, you will have a lower body temperature, making it easier to fall asleep.
4. Do the before-bed hand test – turn off the light and put your hand in front of your face, if you can still see your hand, your room is not dark enough to sleep. Even a little crack of light can interfere with your sleeping cycle and your body’s ability to produce melatonin and serotonin. If you cannot get the room completely dark, buy an eye mask. If possible, keep the light off during late night bathroom breaks as well.
5. Keep a good book on your nightstand. Reading just before bed tends to calm the mind and body, allowing you to fall asleep easier. Stay away from magazines and newspapers, the continual article change can keep your awake.
